about bittensweet —

I started this blog with the intention of keeping it strictly food related. That didn’t happen. So, I’ve decided to write about everything I fancy! Don’t fret, it will still be filled with recipes, good eats, and other foodgasms. I love food. I love baking. And I love sweets… with a passion.

My infatuation for food is still quite new. I am most certainly not a food snob, more like a foodie wannabe. And I’ve got zero shame about it — I’m still learning about everything there is to know about food.  And I think it’ll be fun.

So, what else to expect from bittensweet? Food, duh. Parties. Kirby. Travel. Interior Decor. Photography.

Don’t know who Kirby is? He’s my Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Read all about his first year of life here. Yeah, we’re a bit obsessed with this shorty. He’s a hyper little furball who’s loved by all. And I frequently use the word “we”. We means = me, Chris, and Kirby. Oh, and Chris is my main squeeze. Just so you know.

Hi. I’m Ronalyn. But on the internet, I go by RLV. Nice to meet ya!

I’m Filipina-American in my late twenties. I work for a non-profit organization in DC as one of their Conference Coordinators. But Virginia Beach will always be home! <3 I heart accessories, tapas/dim sum, reading random books on my kindle, and indulging in a heaping bowl of bing-soo on a weekly basis.

I’m not new to the blogosphere, I’ve blogged on and off for about 10 years. Learned a lot in the past decade — what to share and what not to share. It’s been quite the journey thus far.

So, join me. I’ll bring the chocolate.
