What a year, what a year. There were good times and there were bad times, but overall it was a party. Yup. A party, I say.
Started the year off with my loves and I’ve been having fun ever since. I try not to give myself crazy new year resolutions and this year one of them was a simple one: not to take anything so seriously. To chill out and not be so neurotic about the littlest things. How’d I do?
Well…
I think I did pretty well considering. No one said change was easy and I’m slowly learning to take everything in and process. Not to react so quickly. Take a moment to take things in. I think this will be a resolution I’ll keep working on. Yep, it’s a to-be-continued kinda thang. How about you? Do you have a resolution or two going into the new year?
No? Maybe? I’ll let you ponder while I recap the past year.
Shortly after ringing in 2011, we celebrated Janelle’s 26th — slumber party style.

In February, I went to San Francisco for the first time. I blogged about it not once, twice…but three times!
And I went with this guy:

Ooh, and in March — I celebrated my first blogoversary! I made brownies. :)

They were the best brownies I’ve ever had. Browned butter is pure awesomeness.
I paid Richmond a visit because I wanted to be my fellow Rams during the Final Four!

We lost. But it was a lovely visit. It made me miss living in RVA!

Then it was time for another tea party. I think Janelle and I are getting the hang of these!

We made candy sushi!

May strolled about and one weekend we celebrated:
another Manny Pacquiao victory, Mother’s Day and my cousin’s graduation!

Ah, Filipino food. It’s all one color. But oh so damn delicious.
Kirby turned dos. His birthday celebration wasn’t as grand as last year’s, but he had a blast.

And summer began shortly after…to me, at least!

What’s a summer without some festivals?

And food festivals? YUM!
And then, and then…I scored a job. Luckily, my sister and her then-boyfriend let me crash at their place.
Shortly after, I celebrated my 27th birthday. Oy. I can’t believe I’ve made it past my mid-twenties!

Then I disappeared.
Well, not really. But I neglected my blog for a couple of months. Work was busy.

But never too busy to hang out with my man. Kirby, of course. ;)
Still — things were hectic: work, family, etc. My sister got married. So cray!

Probably the best picture of the night. Teehee.

The following weekend, me and Janelle baked about 200 cupcakes for my grandmother’s 90th!
So now we’re at the end of 2011. The holidays came and went. It all happened so fast!
I leave you with a picture of me and my lovely cousins! :)
